The Square Hotel Kanazawa

The rooftop onsen provided a wonderful way to unwind.

The staff was very-very nice and check in was convenient.

Immaculately clean room with space for large snowboard bag, king-sized bed and a very nice view, and smoke detectors too for guests' safety.

Located just a short walk from the station and close to attractions, the hotel struck a perfect balance between comfort and modern amenities. Enjoyed the rooftop onsen for a serene escape. The breakfast system could use improvement, as it requires waiting for a table in a crowded area.

The room with the sink in the hallway. Truly enjoyed the nice decor. Location: the hotel was close to Omi fish market, the Kanazawa Castle Park and tourist attractions. Had nice dainties at Morihachi Saryoomicho, located walking distance from the venue.

I almost thought this place would be nice, but then the check-in took forever, leaving us outside in the cold for 30 minutes! And the breakfast was so subpar, just old leftovers from a group. You'd think for what we paid we'd get at least a complimentary drink, wouldn't you? Not impressed.

Fairly clean and the staff was very-very nice. Magnificent location of the hotel to areas like Korinbo. Next to Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle, Kanazawa and the Kenroku-en garden, Kanazawa Castle park, Oyama shrine. Convenient check-in, big rooms with views all over Kanazawa, separate sofa and large comfortable bed. With an electric kettle and fridges.

I found the bed too hard and uncomfortable for sleeping. The blinds didn't block enough sunlight, waking me up far too early. Navigating the distant bus route proved complicated and frustrating.

A Modern Gem with Some Room for Improvement

Enjoyed a comfortable twin room with efficient amenities. The mobile internet device was a fantastic tool for exploring Kanazawa. Check-in was slow due to non-functioning kiosks, and breakfast felt overpriced for what was offered. I'd recommend taking a taxi from the station for convenience.

The square hotel is conveniently located near key attractions providing a smooth experience for exploring on foot. The staff were helpful in recommending some great local dining options.

The room size was fantastic, nice for plenty of space for the kids to move around and they loved the rooftop onsen. We also enjoyed the free bikes provided by the hotel, made for a fun family outing around town!

It wasn't exactly a steal, but given the amenities, I suppose it was acceptable.

The Square Hotel offered a spacious and clean room that was great for storing luggage. The rooftop onsen provided a wonderful way to unwind after a busy day. Its location was perfect, being conveniently close to Omicho market and within walking distance to key attractions like Kanazawa castle.

Check-out staff was not very friendly.
